Spoiler Alert! We’ve got some unbelievable news to report, fellow fang fans. Our favorite Mystic Falls residents are — brace yourselves — returning to school in The Vampire Diaries Season 4, Episode 8. Yep, that’s right — after all that partying, slaying, and sexing, those crazy kids are more than ready to hit the books.
At least it seems that way in the most recent sneak peek for “We’ll Always Have Bourbon Street.” In the clip, we watch as Elena (Nina Dobrev), looking a tad more frazzled than usual as Caroline (Candice Accola) so kindly points out, returns to school after getting hot and heavy with the elder Salvatore brother, Damon (Ian Somerhalder). Her besties, Caroline and Bonnie (Kat Graham), approach her to see how she’s holding up with all the Jeremy “hunter” drama but, as usual these days, Elena’s acting a tad shifty about what she’s been up to. She then makes a random yet totally ‘Season 1 Elena’ request: “Look, do you girls have any plans tonight? I’m desperate need for some girl talk.” She even tries to lure them in with the promise of delicious vintage wine.
Then, while she’s letting her hair down and listening to Bonnie rave about her magic sessions with Professor Shane, Elena spots Damon in the hallways of Mystic Falls High and he beckons at her from afar. Elena pardons herself from the conversation and hurries after him, an excited smile plastered on her face. Don’t believe us? Check it out for yourself in the TVD episode 4.08 clip below!
