If there’s anything that The Vampire Diaries Season 4 mid-season finale did (aside from terrify us with all those haunting images of Klaus ripping out hybrid hearts as easily as he would paper from a notebook), it’s raise the question if Bonnie Bennett and her ex-boyfriend, Jeremy Gilbert, will be getting back sooner than you can say “Professor Shadypants.”
Well, according to the show’s executive producer, Julie Plec, we’re not delusional at all — there’s still a lingering attraction between the two former lovebirds. Jeremy seemed eager to use his fond memories of Bonnie to create a detour for his “Operation Don’t Kill Elena” yearnings and Bonnie seemed more than ready to allow Jeremy (in his full sexy, muscular armed glory) to do so. Furthermore, just like any couple that suffers through a painful breakup, they need proper closure seeing as Jeremy cheated on Bonnie with a ghost from girlfriends past (aka Anna) — so what better time than with them working together to help him overcome his volatile hunter emotions?
